The Free Edition takes care of all viruses and malware, do not be faster. I suggest you download and run Spybot Search and Destroy can be downloaded from www.download.com. Also, check your disk for files that are not needed and delete them, do not need to think and also empty the trash. Also go through their programs and help eliminate, not do much.

After getting rid of AVG Free Edition and replace it with Avast or Avira.
AVG has no protection against rootkits, but Avira and Avast and both are free. The paid version of AVG is a very good program, but you'll pay for it. While you are certainly free is what you need.
And the next time you are infected, you clean your system immediately, without waiting.
